Falcons Return to CCHA Action
After six weeks away from Central Collegiate Hockey Association competition, the Falcons return to league play with a trip to #9 Michigan this weekend (Jan. 25-26) at Yost Ice Arena. Faceoffs for both games are scheduled for 7:35 p.m. The last CCHA opponent BGSU faced was Alaska Fairbanks on Dec. 14-15.
BGSU Versus #9 Michigan (13-7-5 overall, 10-4-4 CCHA)
The Falcons trail the overall series with Michigan 29-57-2. In Yost Ice Arena, Bowling Green is 13-32-0 in 45 games. However, the last trip to Ann Arbor for the Falcons was a good one when they upended the Wolverines, 6-3, on March 4, 2000, in the last regular-season game of the year. UM has won eight of the last 10 matchups and nine of the last 10 games played at Yost.

It is his 14th season overall on the Falcon bench after serving six years as assistant coach under Jerry York from 1982-88.
BGSU Ends Non-Conference Stretch
Bowling Green ended the non-conference portion of its schedule last weekend with two games at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). The Falcons finished 0-1-1 against RPI, dropping the first game, 3-0, and finishing in a 2-2 tie the second night. Both teams ended with 75 shots on goal in the two games (33 on Jan. 18, 42 on Jan. 19). BGSU was 2-5-3 against non-league opponents this season. Among the seven teams BGSU played outside of the CCHA were #1 Denver, #12 Maine, Harvard and Clarkson. The others were RPI, Princeton and Wayne State.
