FALCONS RETURN TO ANDERSON ARENA
Saturday's game with Kent State will be just the third home game of the conference season for the Falcons. The Falcons and Ohio have played the fewest home games among East Division teams (2). BGSU (7-0) and Kent State (7-0) are the only MAC teams to have an unblemished home record this season. Since the 1998-99 season, the Falcons have a 41-6 record in "The House That Roars", Anderson Arena, including a 24-4 ledger against the MAC.
THE EAST IS A BEAST
Overall this season, five of the East schools (BGSU, Kent State, Ohio, Marshall, Buffalo) boast .500 or better records, while the West side has two teams at .500 or above (Ball State, Western Michigan). Over the last three-plus years, BGSU has the league's second best winning percentage in MAC games (40-20, 66.7).
FALCONS MAKE FOURTH TELEVISION APPEARANCE THIS SEASON
With this game being televised by Fox Sports Ohio, the Falcons will be playing on television for the fourth time this season. Next month's rematch with Toledo on February 18 at Savage Hall also is slated to be televised by Fox Sports Ohio at 7:30 p.m. BGSU is 3-0 this season in games that were on television (Michigan, Detroit, Indiana State).
THE FALCONS AND THE GOLDEN FLASHES
This will be the 126th meeting between the two schools with BGSU holding a 74-51 advantage. KSU has won six of the last seven meetings, including three in a row last year. In last year's meeting in BG, KSU rallied from a nine-point second-half deficit to post a 70-64 win in Anderson Arena. The KSU win snapped a six-game losing streak for the Golden Flashes at Anderson Arena. KSU head coach Stan Heath was a BGSU assistant from 1994-96.
NCAA LEADERS
The Falcons are 10th in the nation in three-point field goal percentage (41.4) and are 15th in the country in overall FG percentage (48.8). Senior Keith McLeod is sixth in the nation in scoring (23.8) and Brandon Pardon is 13th in the country in assists (6.5).
