Senior Gymnast Marny Oestreng Named MAC Gymnast of the Week

After winning the all-around competition for the second consecutive week, Falcon gymnast Marny Oestreng was named MAC Gymnast of the week. This is the second time the senior has earned the honor this season and the eighth time she has been given it in her career for the Orange and Brown.

Last weekend, Oestreng led the Falcons to a 5-0 record at the Cardinal Classic held at Ball State. She placed first int he all-around (39.100), second in the vault (9.825), second on the beam (9.750), tied for second in the bars (9.825) and placed eighth in the floor (9.700).

The Falcons defeated the Cardinals and three other institutions to remain undefeated on the season. Bowling Green is now 7-0 overall and 2-0 in Mid-American Conference competition.

The next meet for the Falcons will be Saturday, February 2 at Rutgers.
