Hockey Broadcast Schedule Reminder

Bowling Green, Ohio - WBGU-FM and the BGSU Athletic Department would like to remind Falcon fans that the hockey game on Saturday, Oct. 19, at Ferris State will not be broadcasted. The series-opener on Friday, Oct. 18, will be aired as normal (7:35 p.m. face-off). The Oct. 19 game is just one of two hockey contests out of the 35-game BGSU schedule this season that will not be aired. The other game is Friday, Jan. 3, vs. Alaska Fairbanks.
WBGU-FM (88.1) serves as the flagship station for men's hockey and women's basketball. The group also will carry any post-season action for either team.
The BGRSO, a student-run organization, also carries all football games and selected men's basketball and baseball games during the academic year. Local radio personality Matt Melzak serves as the play-by-play voice for Falcon hockey this season. Melzak can be heard weekdays on on WLQR-AM (1470) as the co-host of The Front Row, the only daily local talk show dedicated to sports, and each hockey season as the co-host of Face Off-The Hockey Show (Thursday nights).
