The game against Eastern Michigan marked the final home game for 15 seniors who played on the Doyt Perry Stadium turf for the last time. Those who are playing their final home game include LB Marcus Allen, RB Joe Alls, P Pat Fleming, DL Alex Glantzis, LS Joe Gutierrez, LB Chris Haneline, RB Martez Johnson, OL Greg Kupke, RB Godfrey Lewis, OL Jon Mazur, DT D.J. Owchar, WR Robert Redd, QB Andy Sahm, DB Jerry Wagner, and OL Dennis Wendel.
The Falcons rushed for a season-high 351 yards on 52 carries.
Quarterbacks Josh Harris (3) and Andy Sahm (2) combined to give the Falcons a season-high five TD passes. Sahm completed a season-high eight passes.
Freshman running back P.J. Pope had a season-high 143 yards rushing. It was the second 100+ yard effort of his career. It also marked the seventh time this season that BGSU has had a 100-yard rushing effort from an individual (Alls-4, Pope-2, Harris-1). The Falcons are 7-0 when they have such a performance this year.
Senior running back Godfrey Lewis had his first rushing TD in four seasons with a four-yard run in the fourth quarter. His last score came against Ball State in 1999.
Senior wide receiver Martez Johnson scored his first Falcon TD on a 12-yard run. He also had 92-yards on two kick returns.
Freshman wide receiver Steve Sanders caught the first TD pass of his career, a four-yard effort.
Freshman defensive end Mitchell Crossley had a career-best two sacks. He leads the Falcons with seven this season.
Junior safety Mike Malone had his first career interception. Senior safety Jerry Wagner also had the first pick of his career.
Junior Josh Harris now has 5,110 yards of total offense in his career.
Sophomore James Hawkins had his first two-TD reception game of his career.
The Falcons tied their season-best with five turnovers forced. That effort resulted in 28 BGSU points.
