BGSU HEAD COACH CURT MILLER:
"I am very pleased with our defensive performance tonight. We held an opponent to under 30 percent shooting, and I haven't seen that in my 13 years in coaching. We took away their shooters and competed with their post players, and I'm pleased with what we accomplished out there."
"Offensively, I was excited about the second half. We talked at length at halftime about the fact that the tempo was not what we wanted in the first half. We really wanted to get out and run, and make it a high-scoring game. We felt like we could really hurt them in transition and off-dribble penetration, and accomplished some of those things in the second half."
"Lindsay Austin had a great game, getting herself to the hoop. She had a career night, and we're excited that she is coming back from her ankle injury. She is still not 100 percent, but shows flashes of the freedom that we're going to give her off the dribble throughout the season."
"The only negative throughout the game was rebounding. We are continuing to challenge the kids to, with heart and desire, be a better rebounding team every night out."
"Overall, we're 3-3 after our first six games, and we look forward to our five remaining non-conference games. We only won three non-conference games all last season, and we've already won three. So, despite our injuries early in the season, we feel like we are getting better every game out, and we look forward to the remaining five non-conference games to get us ready for the conference schedule."
