The Falcons clinched a 20-win season for the 12th time in school history. It also marks the first time since BGSU had six 20-win seasons from 1943-49, that BGSU has won 20 games or more in two out of three seasons.
The Falcons also have clinched a winning road record (7-4) for just the fifth time since 1963. BGSU's last winning record on the road came two seasons ago when they were 8-7 on an opponents home floor.
The Falcons also have clinched their fourth straight winning record in MAC play for the first time since BGSU had five straight winning league records from 1980-84.
The Falcons won their seventh straight regular season game against Miami and third straight at Millett Hall.
The 15-point win tied the second-highest margin of victory for the Falcons at Miami. The 1982-83 squad won 58-43, while the 1961-62 team posted a 33-point victory, 94-61.
The 50 points allowed was BGSU's best defensive effort of the season. Miami had just 22 rebounds, the lowest total of any Falcon opponent this season.
With his 19 points, Len Matela has moved into 13th on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,410 points.
With his two steals, Keith McLeod has moved into fifth place on the BGSU all-time list with 161. He needs two more to surpass Antonio Daniels who had 162.
