BUFFALO, N.Y. - "It was a huge win for us. We are ecstatic with the win and the ability to come back after trailing by as many as 18 in the first half. I've got to believe that that is one of the best comebacks in Bowling Green women's basketball history. We're ecstatic that the kids, on the road, were able to step up, stay confident, make plays and believe in themselves after halftime, that they could still come back and win their first conference game on the road."
"Individually, I thought Stefanie Wenzel played an outstanding game. She took shots that came to her, had a great night from the three-point line, and scored 51 points in the two games vs. Buffalo this year."
"Kim Griech didn't have the best shooting night from the field, but I give her credit in getting herself to the foul line. Her 9-for-10 performance there was a big boost. During a stretch in the second half, against Buffalo's zone play, we got a much-needed dominant performance by Pam Brown in the interior of UB's defense. That loosened up the exterior later in the game. That stretch was big for us, and Pam played a major part in that."
"Our defense was fantastic in the second half, limiting them to only six field goals, 30 percent from the field and 16 percent from the arc, after they went 5-for-8 (from three-point land) in the first half. It's a big overall boost for us, and puts us in a tie for third place."
