Williams Named MAC Athlete of the Week

The Mid-American Conference office announced the Male and Female Athletes of the Week for Track and Field yesterday. Senior Lori Williams, a field event member, earned the honor for BGSU.

Williams had two second place and one first place finish at the McDonald's Invitational in Athens last weekend. The senior placed second in the hammer throw with a mark of 171-0 and second in the shot put with a distance of 43-00 3/4. She took top honors in the discus with a throw of 149-10. Williams is currently ranked third in the BG record books in the hammer throw.

The senior carries a 3.82 GPA in elementary education and was named to the All-MAC Second Team for the 2002 indoor season.
