BGSU's Kelly Hunt Named MAC East Player of the Week

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University's Kelly Hunt was named Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week on Monday evening by the MAC media relations office.
Hunt batted .524 (11-for-21) in five games last week for the Brown and Orange, helping the Falcons to a 4-1 record and a 3-1 record against visiting Ohio University over the weekend. The Toledo Central Catholic graduate slugged three two-run home runs and drove in nine runs while scoring six times. Hunt, who also had a .952 slugging percentage, had four multi-hit and multi-RBI games. He opened the series with Ohio by going 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a homer, then closed out the weekend with a 3-for-5 performance with three RBIs and a home run. Hunt was also error-free in 54 chances at first base.
The junior first baseman is among the top-10 in the MAC in seven categories, including second in runs-batted-in with 34. He leads the Falcons with a .406 batting average and has 22 home runs in his career, tying him for ninth all-time in BGSU history. This is his first time as MAC Player of the Week.
