BGSU Leads 16-team Notre Dame Invitational

The Bowling Green women's swimming and diving team leads the 16-team Notre Dame Invitational after day one with 401 team points. The three-day meet is being held at Notre Dame's Rolfs Aquatic Center.
West Virginia University is the next closest team with a score of 272.
Several Falcons have turned in stellar performances on the first day of the meet. Freshman Caroline Keating captured the 500 free with a first-place time of 4:58.34. That time is the third-best all-time in BGSU history.
Sophomore Stephanie Buckner was runner-up in the 50 free with a time of 24.38 while junior Amy Smith was sixth with a time of 24.77.
Also, the 400 IM relay team won their even in a time of 3:55.76. The team consisted of freshman Brittany O'Connor, senior Sarah Agnew, sophomore Dana Schultz and Buckner.
The Falcons continue the meet on Friday, Dec. 5, and conclude on Dec. 6 in South Bend.
