Falcons Finish Second at Notre Dame Invitational

The Bowling Green swimming and diving team finished second behind the host Irish at the three-day, 15-team Notre Dame Invitational held at Rolfs Aquatic Center in South Bend, Ind. The Falcons ended with a team score of 1,187.5 while ND won with a team score of 1,284.
The Falcons led the invitational after day one and day two.
Freshman Caroline Keating captured her third event of the invitational on Saturday by winning the 1,650 free in a time of 17:12.51, fifth-best in school history. Keating also won the 200 free (1:53.41) and 500 free (4:58.34) in the first two days.
Senior Sarah Agnew was runner-up in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:20.43 on Saturday, fifth-best in school history. Sophomore Kara Ohngren was fifth in the 1,650 free (17:37.15) and sophomore Dana Schultz was fourth in the 200 butterfly (2:06.87).
BGSU ended with three first-place and three second-place individual finishes and two relay wins in the three-day invitational.
The Falcons next compete on Jan. 23, 2004, when they host Marshall University at the Sam Cooper Natatorium at 5 p.m.
