Bowling Green Hosts Notre Dame for Two-Game Series (Feb. 14-15)
BGSU will host CCHA cluster-partner Notre Dame for a two-game series at the BGSU Ice Arena this Friday and Saturday (Feb. 14-15). The Irish are seven points ahead of the Falcons in the CCHA standins. Both faceoffs are scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The Irish swept the Falcons in a two-game set back on Dec. 7-8 (6-3 and 5-2) in South Bend, Ind.
BGSU vs. Notre Dame (9-13-6 overall, 7-10-3 CCHA)
Notre Dame enters Bowling Green not having won since Jan. 3 vs. Nebraska-Omaha. The Irish are 0-6-3 in their last nine games and were off last weekend. BGSU is 3-6-1 in its last 10 home games vs. Notre Dame, but lead the overall series at home 19-10-1. The Falcons are 4-4-0 in their last eight games and play five of their final eight games at home.
The Last Time vs. Notre Dame...
Notre Dame was 4-for-6 on its power play in a 6-3 win over BGSU on Dec. 7 while recording 50 shot attempts. SO Alex Rogosheske had two assists in the game while Jordan Sigalet made 44 saves. The next night, ND was held scoreless on its power play (0-for-6) but scored the final four goals of the game for the 5-2 win. BGSU held a 2-1 lead midway through the second period with a PPG from FR Mike Falk and an unassisted goal by JR D'Arcy McConvey. SR Tyler Masters had 40 saves while BGSU outshot ND 49-45.

JR captain D'Arcy McConvey has had success against Notre Dame in his career. In eight games against Notre Dame, McConvey has five goals and five assists. Four of those goals came his sophomore season, including three goals in the two-game series in South Bend.
McConvey Assist-Streak Grows
JR D'Arcy McConvey extended his point/assist streak to a career-high four games with an assist in Saturday's loss to Michigan State. The BGSU captain has five assists in his last four games and leads the Falcons with 14 helpers this season.
Wires' Point Streak Snapped at Five
JR forward Mark Wires had his career-long point streak snapped at five games on Saturday vs. Michigan State. Wires had recorded 4-5--9 in his last five games, equalling his season point total from all of last season. Wires leads BGSU with 11 goals, 21 points and six PPGs, and is plus-3.
First Home Loss of the Season for Sigalet
SO goalie Jordan Sigalet suffered his first home loss of the season on Saturday in a 6-3 setback to Michigan State. His record dropped to 3-1-2 at the BGSU Ice Arena. Sigalet had 30 saves on 35 shots faced. He gave up just three even-strength goals with the other two being a short-handed and power-play goal. MSU added an empty-net goal in the final minute. Sigalet's home numbers are now 2.58 gaa., .929 save pct., 210 saves, in 372:10 played.
Ice House Gets Over 4,000 vs. MSU
BGSU's attendance of 4,152 on Saturday vs. Michigan State was the largest home crowd since the Falcons defeated Michigan on Dec. 3, 1999 (4-2) in front of 4,248.
Bieksa Plays in 100th Game at BGSU
JR Kevin Bieksa played in his 100th collegiate game at BGSU on Feb. 8 vs. Michigan State. Bieksa has 15-32--47 in those 100 career games. He became the fifth player this season to appear in his 100th career game, joining Tyler Masters, Brian Escobedo, D'Arcy McConvey and Mark Wires. He is fifth in the CCHA and T-23rd nationally in scoring among defensemen (6-13--19).
Falcons Are In "Home" Stretch of Schedule
BGSU will play five of its final eight games of the season at home, where the Falcons are 4-4-2 this year. The Falcon Icers have had only three losing seasons at home in the 33-year history of the Ice Arena.
