Track Has Impressive Showing At All-Ohio Championships

Findlay, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University track team competed in the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday afternoon, with several Falcons posting impressive results.
Junior Alicia Taylor (Cleveland Hts., OH) posted a time of 7.74 seconds in the 60-meter dash, finishing fifth in the event. She also places fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.71 seconds. Senior Amy Henry (Newport News, VA) placed just ahead of Taylor in the 60-meter hurdles, with a time of 8.69 seconds, finishing third in the event.
Sophomore Amber Walker (Detroit, MI) placed fifth in the 200-meters with a time of 25.56 seconds and fifth in the 400-meters with a time of 57.71 seconds.
Senior Nicole Carter (Nicholasville, KY) led the Falcons in the triple jump, with a mark of 63 ' 5".
In the throws junior Kerry McClung (Portland, IN) and senior Mary Willems (Huntington, IN) led the Falcons. McClung placed fourth in the shot put with a mark of 47' 11.25". She also placed twelfth in the weight throw. Willems finished fourth in the weight throw with a mark of 57' 7".
Up next, the Falcons travel to Kent, OH, where they will compete in the MAC Championships. The meet is set for February 28.
