Track Impressive In Outdoor Opener

The Bowling Green State University track squad traveled to Clemson University on Saturday afternoon to begin the 2003 outdoor season in the Clemson Relays. Kerri McClung got her outdoor season off to a fast start placing first in the shot put with a mark of 47' 7.25". That mark ranks her fifth all-time in Falcon history in the event.
The BGSU relay teams had a strong performance in both the 4 x 100 and the 4 x 200. The Falcons placed third in the 4 x 100 with a time of 48.26 seconds and second in the 4 x 200 with a time of 1:40.71.
Seniors Brook Allen and Nicole Carter opened the outdoor season finishing forth in their events. Allen placed fourth in the javelin throw with a distance of 114' 8.00" while Carter posted a mark of 36' 9.75" in the triple jump.
Up next for the Falcons is a trip to Kalamazoo, MI, where they will compete in the Western Michigan Invitational on March 29.
