Track Competes At Western Michigan

Kalamazoo, Michigan - The Bowling Green State University track team traveled to Kalamazoo, Michigan to compete in the Western Michigan Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Detroit, UW-Milwaukee, Eastern Michigan, Notre Dame, Oakland, Western Michigan and Bowling Green took part in the competition.
Though no team scores were kept, several Falcons had impressive days. Junior Alicia Taylor placed first in both the 200-meter dash as well as the 100-meter hurdles. Taylor posted times of 25.08 seconds in the 200 and 14.39 seconds in the 100 hurdles.
Junior Kerri McClung continued her hot start to the outdoor season with a first place finish in the shot put with a distance of 44-2.75. She also placed fifth in the discuss throw with a mark of 116-6 and sixth in the hammer throw with a distance of 139-9.
The Falcons will continue their season on April fifth when they head to Athens, Ohio to compete in the McDonalds Invitational.
