BGSU Announces 2003-04 Hockey Schedule

Bowling Green State University and head coach Scott Paluch announced today its 2003-04 men's ice hockey schedule. The 36-game schedule includes 28 against Central Collegiate Hockey Association opponents (14 home/14 road) and eight against non-conference opponents (four home/four road).
This season will mark the 35th year of varsity hockey at BGSU.
In addition to the 36-game regular season, the Falcons will host the University of Windsor in an exhibition game on Friday, Oct. 3, to kick off the 2003-04 schedule.
The Falcons will not play in any holiday tournaments this season, but will play two conference foes the week of Thanksgiving and travel to Minnesota-Duluth over Christmas break for a two-game series (Jan. 2-3).
BGSU has its longest homestand of the season from Oct. 18 - Nov. 7 when they host Notre Dame (one game), Union, Miami, and Niagara (one game). The Falcons follow that with their longest road trip of the year from Nov. 14 - Nov. 25 at Lake Superior, Cornell (one game), Colgate (one game), and Western Michigan (one game).
The home-opener for BGSU will be Saturday, Oct. 18, when the Falcons host Notre Dame. Other notable opponents visiting the BGSU Ice Arena this season will be Union (Oct. 24-25), Miami (Oct. 31 - Nov. 1), Niagara (Nov. 7), Ohio State (Nov. 29 & Jan. 31), 2003 CCHA Champions Ferris State (Dec. 5-6), Findlay (Dec. 12), Michigan State (Jan. 16-17), Lake Superior (Feb. 13-14), and Northern Michigan (Feb. 27-28).
Bowling Green will travel to Northern Michigan (Oct. 10-11), Notre Dame (Oct. 17 & Jan. 10), Lake Superior (Nov. 14-15), Cornell (Nov. 21), Colgate (Nov. 22), Western Michigan (Nov. 25 & March 4), Minn.-Duluth (Jan. 2-3), Alaska Fairbanks (Jan. 23-24), Nebraska-Omaha (Feb. 6-7), and 2003 Frozen Four participant Michigan (Feb. 20-21).
The first round of the CCHA Tournament will be at campus sites (March 12-14) followed by the finals at Joe Louis Arena (March 18-20).
