BGSU Names Matt Messaros Assistant Strength Coach

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University announced today the hiring of Matt Messaros as assistant strength and conditioning coach. He will work with all of the 18 intercollegiate sports sponsored at BGSU.

Messaros comes to BGSU after serving as a graduate assistant strength coach for Penn State University the past two years. Before arriving at PSU, the Columbus, Ohio native was a corrections officer at the Licking-Muskingham Community Corrections facility in Newark, Ohio.

Messaros graduated from Ball State University in 2000 with a degree in criminal justice and criminology. He was a member of the Cardinals football team from 1997-2000. Messaros is scheduled to receive his Masters of Education from Penn State this fall.
