BGSU Coach Gregg Brandon
"Lots of highlights, I told the kids they played their tails off."
Speaking of the first EKU TD
"It's a marathon, not a sprint. Our defense got a little ticked off then, and responded."
On receiving the post game water cooler shower
"I never thought I would get the bath."
"What we can learn from this game is their similar offensive styles. Eastern Kentucky Coach Hope was a Purdue guy for a while."
"We really fought for Coach Brandon to get the job and he got it. We kept the continuity that we wanted around here."
After first EKU TD
"We knew as an offense that we had to come back and counter that touchdown."
"After the film tomorrow we are moving right on to the next game."
Speaking of Omar Jacobs
"He stepped in, and there was no drop-off."
On the first EKU TD
"It appeared the running back was down, but he just kept moving his legs."
"We came out the next series, flew around and made plays."
Speaking about EKU first TD
"As an offense we just had to respond."
Speaking of Josh Harris
"His accuracy has gotten better."
EKU Coach Danny Hope
"I felt like there were some unfortunate penalties that cost us some momentum early in the first half."
"I think they have some really good players. I don't believe they were that much superior to us. If we were to come out here and play as hard as we can play, and play relatively mistake free, we would have a chance to compete with a team like Bowling Green."
"But, you can't come out here and compete against Bowling Green and make a lot of mistakes. They're an extremely efficient football team. They're as efficient a football team as there is in the country. They rate in the top categories in efficiency. That was my biggest fear coming in here was making mistakes, because they don't make any."
"They're a top of the line MAC school. When you start talking about the best first or second team in the MAC conference, they can go and compete with anybody in the Big Ten. They'll compete with Purdue and they'll compete with just about anybody they play this year. They're an extremely efficient football team."
