Volleyball Plays Host To Oakland and Valparaiso

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University volleyball squad looks to continue its hot start to the 2003 season with matches versus Oakland University on Tuesday and Valparaiso University on Wednesday at Anderson Arena. Both matches are set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
The Falcons (6-3) are coming off their third straight 2-1 tournament record after defeating West Virginia and Iowa State at the BGSU Invitational this weekend. Previously BGSU won the Bradley Invitational, as well as, the Boise State Invitational with identical 2-1 records.
Oakland University (1-3) is coming off a 1-2 record at the Cleveland State Invitational. They defeated St. Francis in four sets but dropped back-to-back matches to Cleveland State and Lehigh.
Valparaiso (10-2) will visit Anderson Arena on Wednesday night looking to begin a new win streak after dropping a five set match to Northern Illinois at the NIU Comfort Inn And Suites Invitational. Th Crusaders finished the tournament with a 2-1 record with wins over Stony Brook and Illinois-Chicago.
After playing host for over a week the Falcons will travel to Ohio State on Saturday, September 20. The match is set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
