FALCONS HAVE WON FIVE OF SIX
The Falcons have won five of their last six games after defeating Central Michigan, 86-61, on Sunday. The Falcons improved to 6-1 at home this season and are shooting 51.6 percent from the field and 42.0 percent from three-point range over the last six games. BGSU will be looking for its second straight road victory (Akron, 77-72). Toledo, Western Michigan and Northern Illinois are the only remaining unbeaten teams at home in the MAC sporting 6-0 records on their respective home courts.
THE SERIES WITH THE ROCKETS
Toledo holds a 77-71 advantage in a series which began during the 1915-16 season and the Rockets have won six of the last seven meetings. BGSU will be looking for its first victory at UT since the 1998-99 season.
FALCON OFFENSE GETTING ON TRACK
Against Akron, the Falcons shot a then season-high 58.7 percent from the floor and 57.1 percent from three-point range, then followed that up with 63.6 percent shooting against Central Michigan and 61.5 percent marksmanship from long distance. The Falcons also committed a season-low 11 turnovers. In the last six games, the Falcons are averaging 77.8 points per game, an 11.9 point improvement over the first 10 games of the season. Defensively, BGSU is allowing 69.0 points per game after giving up 70.6 points per game during the first 10 contests of the season.
WHEN SHOOTING BETTER THAN 50 PERCENT
The Falcons are 4-1 this season and 22-3 since the 2001-02 season when making more than 50% of its field goal attempts in a game.
FALCONS LEAD THE MAC
The Falcons lead the MAC in free throw shooting connecting on 77.4% of its charity tosses. BGSU also leads the league in rebounding defense (31.2) and is second in blocked shots averaging 3.6 per game and assists (15.94). Junior John Reimold also leads the league in three-point field goals made per game at 2.83 and is second in three-point field goal percentage at 44.7 percent.
