BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Molly Peterson is the Bowling Green State University Scholar-Athlete of the Week. Peterson, a senior on the BGSU swimming team, had a successful weekend as the Falcons split a pair of Mid-American Conference dual meets.
Peterson, a native of Massillon, Ohio (Washington HS), had three first-place efforts and one second-place result over the weekend. She won the 3-meter diving event and placed second in the 1-meter as the Falcons downed Marshall, 203-95, at Cooper Pool Friday (Jan. 23).
The next day, Peterson won both the 1-meter and the 3-meter as the Falcons nearly knocked off Ohio. The visiting Bobcats pulled out a 155-145 victory.
Peterson, a marketing major, maintains a 3.22 cumulative grade point average.
The Falcons are back in action at Cooper Pool for a pair of MAC meets this weekend. BGSU will host Miami on Friday (Jan. 30), with the meet set to begin at 5:00 p.m. Then, the Falcons will face Ball State Saturday (Jan. 31) in a 1:00 p.m. start.
