The Falcons improved to 1-1 in the MAC with the 16-point win and improved to 4-1 in Anderson Arena this season.
The Falcons have won nine straight at home against the Eagles dating back to the 1992-93 season.
The Falcons shot 77.8% from the field (14/18) in the second half and led by as many as 20, 62-42 with just under 11 minutes remaining.
When sophomore Germain Fitch saw his first action in the game, it marked the first time since the opening game of last season (39 games ago) that BGSU has had all 12 of its scholarship players suit up and play in a game. Fitch had two points, two rebounds, two blocks and an assist in 15 minutes of play.
Junior John Reimold had a MAC career-high 29 points to lead the Falcons (He previously had 24 points against Central Michigan). He tied his career-high with 11 field goals made (set in the Falcons' last game with Lamar)and made five of seven three-point field goal attempts. He also added six rebounds and two assists.
Junior Josh Almanson also had a MAC career-high with 19 points (He previously scored 16 against Toledo as a freshman). He made eight of 11 field goals and added eight rebounds, four offensive caroms, and two blocked shots.
Senior Kevin Netter had 15 points, including 13 in the second half.
BGSU now boasts a two-game winning streak for the second time this season. In those two games, BGSU has shot 51.4 percent and is averaging 82.5 points, after averaging 65.9 points in the first 10 games. The Falcons also increased their MAC leading free throw percentage to 80.4 percent by making 24 of 30 charity tosses.
BGSU has made 41.7% of its three-point field goal attempts (15/36) in the last two games. Reimold accounts for most of that hitting on 12 of 20 long distance calls.
With a 30-27 rebound advantage, the Falcons have outrebounded its opponents in nine of 12 contests.
Sophomores Steven Wright and Ron Lewis, and junior Cory Eyink each led the team with three assists, while Wright also had a team-leading three steals.
