The Falcons finished the game with a season-high 405 yards passing against the top ranked overall and passing defense in the MAC.
BGSU has won its last 11 games when it has won the time of possession battle. BGSU had the ball for 31:05 against the Bobcats.
The Falcons held an opponent to under 100 yards rushing (65 yards on 30 carries) for the third time in four games. BGSU has won 14 straight games since the 2001 season when it has accomplished that feat.
The 265 yards allowed by the Falcon defense was its best effort as a unit this season. '
Junior Omar Jacobs had his third 300+yard passing effort in four games. He finished with 28 completions in a career-high 44 attempts for a career-high 389 yards and 2 TDs. He also capped a 15-play scoring drive with a one-yard run on the first series of the game. It was his fourth rushing TD of the season and sixth of his career.
BGSU's first scoring drive tied BGSU's season high for plays in a scoring drive (15 vs. SEMO). In the second half, BGSU had its longest scoring drive of the season with a 99-yard drive.
Junior defensive back Mike Crumpler made his first career start at strong safety.
Junior P.J. Pope scored his team-leading sixth rushing TD on an eight-yard run in the first quarter. He now has 20 career rushing TDs.
Junior Charles Sharon caught a three-yard TD pass from Omar Jacobs, his sixth TD catch of the season and 19th of his career, which now ranks fourth on the school's all-time list.
Senior Daniel Sayles had his first sack of the season and fourth of his career. He led the Falcons with five tackles.
BGSU had a punt blocked for the first time in two seasons. It was the first blocked punt for a score against BGSU since Ricot Joseph scored on a blocked punt against BG for Central Florida in 1999. It also marked the first non-offensive touchdown scored against a Gregg Brandon-coached team in 21 career games.
Junior Steve Sanders had his third +100-yard receiving effort in four games. He had a career-high 185 yards on nine catches.
Senior Shaun Suisham had a 22-yard field goal and a career-long 52-yard effort in the second quarter. That kick tied Derek Schorejs (1995 vs. Akron) for the third longest field goal in school history. Schorejs had a 60-yarder against Toledo and Gehad Youssef had a 56-yard bomb against Western Michigan in 1983. Suisham now has 39 career field goals which is tied for fourth on the BGSU all-time list (Jason Strasser, 39 from 1996 to 1999). He has made eight of 10 field goals this season and now has 17 touchbacks of the season. In addition, with 311 points scored, Suisham ranks third all-time among MAC kickers in scoring. Toledo's Todd France had 320 points from 1998-2001, while Steve Azar from NIU had 370 points from 2000-2003.
Senior Cole Magner had his third TD catch of the season (16-yards from Jacobs) and 15th receiving score overall. With his 56 yards receiving, he eclipsed the 2000-yard barrier in a career and has caught 180 passes (3rd all-time at BGSU) for 2,033 yards (9th all-time at BGSU).
Junior B.J. Lane had a two-yard TD run to cap off the Falcons' scoring. It was his second rushing TD of the season and fourth of his career.
Junior Matt Leininger had two sacks for a total loss of 11 yards. He has three sacks this season and 3.5 in his career.
BGSU committed just one penalty for five yards.
