Grubb and Mayberry Honored For Academics

Kent, Ohio - Senior offensive lineman Andy Grubb and junior defensive back Terrill Mayberry have been named second-team Academic All-District IV by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). To be eligible, a player must be a starter or important reserve and maintain a 3.20 GPA or higher. Freshmen and first year transfers are not eligible.
Grubb, a native of Leipsic, Ohio is an exercise specialist major with a 3.45 GPA. He has started every game for the Falcons at right guard and Part of an offensive line which has helped them lead the league in scoring, total offense, passing, and fewest sacks. In addition, the team also is second in the MAC in fewest turnovers and and yards per rush. Grubb is the only MAC offensive lineman on either the first or second team.
Mayberry, who comes from Farmington Hills, Michigan and has a 3.45 GPA in sports management, has started all 10 games for BGSU and has 41 tackles, an interception and six pass deflections. BGSU currently leads the MAC in scoring defense and pass efficiency defense.
District IV consists of colleges and universities in the state of Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee.
