Falcons Finish Third in Notre Dame Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Indiana - Bowling Green clinched third place on the final day of the Notre Dame Invitational. The Falcons finished with a score of 1,186 behind Denver (1,443.5) and Truman State (1,709). A total of 13 teams competed in the invitational.
The Falcons finished well in multiple events. Kara Ohngren and Caroline Keating placed second and third in the 1650 free with a time of 17:15.92 and 17:26.92.
Stephanie Buckner took second in the 100 free with a time of 52.35, while Erin Dilkes placed fifth in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:23.31.
Dana Schultz and Kim Albin finished well in the 200 butterfly. Schultz placed second (2:03.91) and Albin finished in fourth (2:09.33).
The Bowling Green 400 yard relay team of Jessica Guinness, Stephanie Buckner, Amy Smith and Caroline Keating finished fourth with a time of 3:33.55.
The Falcons will travel to Huntington, West Virginia to compete against Marshall on Jan. 21 at 5 p.m.
