The Falcons now own a 7-2 lead in the series with the Penguins and will play at YSU next season.
BGSU is now 9-2 at home and need one more win in Anderson Arena this year to notch 10 wins or more at home for the fifth time in six years. BGSU will play the second of a four-game homestand Wednesday night at 7 p.m. against Toledo.
Seven of the Falcons' nine home wins have been by 10 points or more.
WIth YSU shooting 1 for 8 from long distance, BGSU has held its opponents to 30.0 percent shooting from long range (15/50) over the last three games.
With BGSU hitting 10 of 18 three-pointers (10 of 13 in the first half), BGSU has now made 25 of 50 bombs in the last three games.
With its 55.6 percent effort from long range, BGSU has topped the 50.0 percent mark from long distance for the fifth time this season.
With 22 points off the bench today, BGSU is now averaging 25.5 points off the bench in the last two games.
Junior John Reimold had 26 points and topped the 20-point or more mark for the sixth time this season. He also made four of eight three pointers in a game. He has made four triples or more seven times this season. He also finished with a career-high seven assists.
Junior Josh Almanson had 14 points and seven rebounds and made a career-high three long distance shots. After scoring 18 points at NIU on Wednesday, Almanson has posted back-to-back double digit efforts for the first time this season.
Freshman Austin Montgomery made all six of his free throw attempts.
Sophomore Steven Wright had 11 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. He also made two of three triples.
With his eight points, Kevin Netter moved up to 30th on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,038 points.
