Falcons In Sixth Place After First Day of MAC Championships

MIAMI, Ohio - After the first day of competition at the 2004 Mid-American Conference Championships, Bowling Green is sixth with 109 team points. Sophomore Stephanie Buckner led the way by taking fourth place in the 50-yard freestyle by swimming her career best with a time of 23.94.
Freshman Caroline Keating finished seventh in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:58.48. Sophomore Kara Ohngren swam a career best 5:00.99 in the 500-yard freestyle to earn a 10th place finish.
The relay team of Stephanie Buckner, Sarah Agnew, Dana Schultz and Brit O'Connor placed second in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:51.06. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Jessica Guinness, Dana Schultz, Amy Smith and Stephanie Buckner took fifth place (1:35.85).
Day two of the Mid-American Conference Championships is today. Miami leads after one day of competition with a team score of 212.
