BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team is looking for an "Orange-Out" this weekend, but the Falcons need your help.
BGSU faces Western Michigan University Saturday afternoon (Feb. 7) at 1:00 p.m., in a key Mid-American Conference game. The Broncos (13-7, 8-1 MAC) currently have the best record in the conference, while the resurgent Falcons (12-7, 5-3 MAC) already have matched the win totals for all of last season.
Head coach Curt Miller and the Falcons are hoping for a large crowd for this pivotal MAC contest, and are encouraging all fans to wear orange to the game. BGSU is 6-2 in home games this year to date, thanks in large part to the vocal crowds at Anderson Arena, and the Falcon women's basketball family hopes that support continues during a crucial stretch of late-season games.
In addition to the "Orange-Out," Saturday's game also marks Alumnae Day, as a number of former Falcon women's basketball greats will be in attendance to watch the 2003-04 squad. Following the game, there will be a reception for all alumnae to meet with the current team and family members.
Any BGSU women's basketball alums interested in attending, or wanting more information, are encouraged to contact the Falcon women's basketball office at (419) 372-2255.
