The Falcons matched their season-high with 11 three-point field goals made (11 vs. Marshall).
BGSU outscored WMU 49-46 in the second half.
BGSU was whistled for a season-high 35 fouls as WMU shot 48 free throw attempts and made 36, both opponent high's against the Falcons this season. BGSU opponents have attempted 29 or more free throw attempts in eight of 12 MAC games this season. Conversely, BGSU entered Saturday's game at WMU as the MAC leader in free throw percentage (77.6), free throws made (343) and free throws attempted (442).
Senior Kevin Netter became the 33rd player in BGSU men's basketball history to eclipse the 1,000-point barrier and now has 1,006 career points. He had 17 points and six rebounds and has averaged 18 points per game over the last nine games.
Other players who have scored 1,000 points or more under Coach Dan Dakich include Anthony Stacey (1,938), Keith McLeod (1,895), Len Matela (1,527) and Dave Esterkamp (1,080).
Sophomore Ron Lewis could better all of the above if he maintains his current numbers for the remainder of his career. Lewis had 26 points and had a career-high five three-pointers for the second straight game. He is averaging 27.3 points in his last three games and is shooting 56.5 percent from three-point range in the last three games.
Lewis, who has scored 742 points in his career, is just the second sophomore in BGSU men's basketball history to score 700 points or more by his sophomore year. Anthony Stacey had 890 points after two seasons.
Junior John Reimold finished with 12 points against WMU.
Junior Cory Eyink hit two three-pointers in a game for the 11th time in his career.
Freshman Chris Hobson had four points off the bench
Freshman Austin Montgomery made his second MAC start and had three points, five rebounds and three assists.
Freshman Matt Lefeld started his 12th game of the season and had two points and two rebounds.
Freshman Isaac Rosefelt had his first career blocked shot.
