Wilks Joins Notre Dame Staff

Bowling Green, Ohio - Steven Wilks has resigned his position as defensive backs coach at BGSU and has accepted a similar position at Notre Dame. He was introduced to the media Monday by Irish Coach Tyrone Willingham.

"We are very excited for Steven and his family," said BGSU Coach Gregg Brandon. "He had a tremendous impact on our success last season and we wish nothing but the best for him."

BGSU will begin looking for a replacement immediately.

"Bowling Green has a great reputation and there will be no shortage of quality applicants for this position," said Brandon. "I think we have one of the best overall group of coaches in the country on our staff and this should be an attractive opportunity."
