FALCONS EARN HOME COURT FOR MAC TOURNAMENT
The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team will be either the seventh or eighth seed in next week's Mid-American Conference Men's Basketball Tournament. BGSU will host a first round game at 7 p.m., Monday, March 8 against either Eastern Michigan, Akron, Ohio or Northern Illinois.
THE SERIES WITH THE EAGLES
The Falcons hold a 40-34 edge in a series which began in the 1915-16 season. The Falcons have won six of the last seven meetings including an 84-68 triumph earlier this season in Bowling Green. Last year, the Eagles won 73-67 in Ypsilanti. BGSU has won two of three games in the Convocation Center since it opened in 1998.
Kevin Netter IS THE FALCONS' LONE SENIOR
Senior center Kevin Netter, an honorable mention All-MAC pick in 2003, is the only senior on the Falcons. He is the 26th all-time leading scorer with 1,084 points and ranks third in career blocked shots (102) and eighth in field goal percentage (53.9). A two-time MAC West Player of the Week selection, Netter had 19 points in his final regular season home game with the Falcons against Western Michigan. He is averaging 14.4 points in league play.
