Falcons Ninth After Day One Of MAC Championships

OXFORD, Ohio - Day one of 2004 Outdoor Track & Field Championship concluded Thursday night with the BGSU squad in ninth place with six points. With 36.5 points Akron leads the competition, while Kent State (26) and Central Michigan (21) are close behind. Friday's action begins at 10:00 a.m.
Day one of the competition saw two BGSU throwers score points for the Falcons. Senior Kerri McClung posted a mark of 160-01 in the hammer throw, her season-best, to finish seventh in the meet. Freshman Andrean Bunko registered four points in the javelin throw with a personal-best distance of 141-08.
The first full day of competition begins early Friday morning.
