Andy Hudak Named MAC Player of the Week

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference today announced its final East and West Division Players and Pitchers of the Week for the 2004 season, for the week ending May 23. BGSU redshirt-junior Andy Hudak (Toledo, Ohio) was tabbed the MAC West Division Player of the Week.
Hudak batted .692 in four games last week, pounding out nine hits in 13 at-bats. He hit a home run in his last two games and finished the year on a five-game hitting streak, his longest of the season. His slugging pct. last week was 1.231 with a .733 on-base pct.
In a three-game series vs. WMU, in which BGSU took two-of-three games, Hudak was 8-for-12 (.667 avg.) with five runs scored and a 1.167 slugging pct. and .714 on-base pct. It's the second time in his career that he has been tabbed the MAC Player of the Week.
Hudak finished the season with a .357 batting average in 41 games played, fourth-best on the Falcon squad and 18th-best in the MAC. He had a team-high 15 doubles along with four home runs and 32 RBIs.
He joins Nolan Reimold (two-time recipient) and Tyler Saneholtz as other Falcons named MAC Players/Pitchers of the Week this season.
