Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University student-athletes Steve Raszka (West Chester, Ohio) and Andy Hudak (Toledo, Ohio) were named last month to Summer All-Star games. Raszka competed in the Florida Collegiate Instructional League (FCIL) All-Star Game and Hudak played in the Great Lakes League All-Star Game. The FCIL All-Star game was played at the home of the Pittsburgh Pirates' spring training facility on July 11. Raszka went 1-for-2, leading the North to a 5-4 victory in the FCIL All-Star game. IMG Academies' Baseball Academy and The Pittsburgh Pirates combined to sponsor the fourth annual FCIL All-Star game. The FCIL is the only all-wood bat college league in the state of Florida and is comprised of six teams whose players represent over 65 different colleges and universities throughout the United States. Over 75 players from this program have been drafted or signed by professional teams in the past five years. The Baseball Academy is an IMG Academies training program, as are the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy, the David Leadbetter Golf Academy, the IMG Soccer and Basketball Academies, the International Performance Institute (IPI), IMG Academies Mental Conditioning, Game On and the Boca Raton-based Evert Tennis Academy. The GLL All-Star game that Hudak played in was held at Ohio Wesleyan University on July 18. This past summer Hudak led Grand Lakes with 11 doubles and tied for the team lead with 21 RBIs.
