ATHENS, Greece - Bowling Green State University volleyball head coach Denise Van De Walle and the USA National Sitting Volleyball Team fell to China in three sets (22-25, 17-25, 19-25) in their second match at the Paralympic Games in Athens, Greece. Team USA won in five sets the previous night over Finland.
"Our match today had a young Team USA playing an experienced Team China," said Van De Walle. "Their ball control was far better than ours and their 6'2" former Olympic player, #12, Yu Hong Sheng, is the best attacker I've seen. However, we blocked them very well today."
Team USA (1-1) will square off with Slovenia today at 7:00 p.m. Greece time, noon, Bowling Green time.
