Team USA Advances To Medal Round

ATHENS, Greece - With a win over Ukraine the USA National Sitting Volleyball team will advance to the medal round in Athens, Greece. Team USA won in five games (21-25, 25-17, 25-17, 14-25, 15-9).The top four remaining teams are China, Netherlands, USA and Slovenia.

"The match today was a difficult one for us," said Van De Walle. "With the way the schedule fell, we had to turn around in less than eight hours and be ready to play Ukraine. We got back to the Village at midnight and were back on the bus at 6:45am to get to our venue. We were tired and flat. In the 5th set we looked like Team USA and played with a lot of intensity. We're really happy with the win!"

Up next is a match with the Netherlands at 12:45 Greece time.
