Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green senior Taylor Christie was named Central Collegiate Hockey Association Defenseman of the Week on Monday, January 31. It is the first time in his career that the Toronto, Ontario, native has been tabbed Defenseman of the Week by the league.
Christie scored his first collegiate goal in Friday's 4-1 win over Notre Dame and finished +1 in Saturday's 6-2 road victory over the Irish. For the weekend, Christie had a plus/minus of +3.
For the season, the 6-foot-2, 211-pound blueliner has 1-1--2 in 24 games played while seeing time on the BGSU penalty kill unit.
