BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Falcon Volleyball will visit Cleveland State Tuesday night after consecutive 3-0 sweeps of Buffalo and Akron over the weekend. Bowling Green and the Vikings are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
Cleveland State is led by Nickole Kennedy and her 301 kills, good for a 4.01 kills/game average. Margot Frederick leads the Viking defense with 4.00 digs per game.
Senior Emily Manser's 17 digs against Akron put her over the 1,000-career dig plateau. With junior Chrissy Gothke also amassing 1,000-career digs earlier this season, the pair became only the second duo to accomplish the feat in the same season after Tammy Schiller and Lisa Mika did so in 1991.
Redshirt freshman Kendra Halm was named MAC East player of the week for Oct. 10-16. Halm led Bowling Green to a 2-1 record last week, including a 1-1 mark in MAC play. In the Falcons' sweep of regionally ranked IPFW, Halm compiled a hitting percentage of .500, and had two blocks in the match.
