BGSU Swimmers Make Splash on Collegeswimming.com Mid-Major Division I Power Ranking

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University swimming and diving program has earned a Top 25 spot in the Collegeswimming.com Mid-Major Division I Power Ranking. With a dual meet score of 221.82 the Orange and Brown rank 13th nationally. The Falcons are 1.82 points away from cracking into the national Top 10.
Mid-American Conference rival Toledo is the only MAC program ranked higher. UT's 228.13 has set the Rockets in second behind the University of Denver.
The Power Rankings are a relative indication of a team's strength in dual meets. The mid-major support institutions that do not benefit from large football and basketball television agreements and are based on each team's best dual meet lineup as judged and submitted by participating teams.
Eligible institutions come from the following conferences: America East, Atlantic 10, Big West, Colonial Athletic Association, EISL, Horizon League, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-America, Mid-Continent, Missouri Valley, North Eastern, Patriot, and Sun Belt. Additional schools participate following certification that their school awards fewer than half of the allowable scholarships permitted by the NCAA.

Seven other women's teams also earned consideration for their scores. They included LaSalle, Central Connecticut, Xavier, Evansville, Southern Illinois, Binghampton, and Valparaiso.
