Matsumoto Ranked 8th By NHL's Central Scouting

Bowling Green sophomore Jonathan Matsumoto is currently ranked eighth among United States skaters according to the NHL's Central Preliminary Scouting Services. The forward was ranked 11th last season as a freshman for the Falcons.

This season Matsumoto has 18 points (6g, 12a) in 11 games. He recorded his first career hat trick versus #4 Boston College and had a four-point night (1-3--4) in a 7-3 win over Nebraska-Omaha back on November 4. He has scored a point in every game except three this season. He ranks second in the country with .55 power-play goals/game, as well as sixth with 1.64 points/game and 13th in the nation with 1.09 assists/game.

Last season he became just the third Falcon in school history to lead the Falcons in scoring, with 32 points (18g, 14a).

In his brief Falcon career he has 50 points (24g, 26a) in 47 games.
