Alex Foster Named CCHA Offensive Player of the Week

FARMINGTON HILLS, Michigan - BGSU sophomore forward Alex Foster was named CCHA Offensive Player of the Week (Nov. 7) after recording seven points in the two game sweep over Nebraska-Omaha this past weekend.

On Friday night the forward tallied a career-high five points (1g, 4a) in the Falcons 7-3 victory. His five points came on five straight goals, including an assist on the game winner. The following night he picked up two more helpers in the Falcons 4-3 comeback victory. His second assist that night helped tie the game at 3-3.

Foster earns his first CCHA weekly award of his career

For the weekend he also registered one power-play goal, nine shot and a plus-3 rating. He was also a mainstay on the Falcon penalty kill that held the Mavericks 1-for-16 with the man advantage over the weekend. On the season the sophomore has two goals, 11 assists and a team-high 13 points.

Foster and the Falcons travel to South Bend, Indiana this week for a pair of road contests with the Fighting Irish, starting on Thursday.
