Falcon Swimmers and Divers Picked Fourth in Mid-American Conference

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced its pre-season swimming and diving rankings as voted by the leagues' head coaches. The Bowling Green State University swimming and diving program has earned the fourth ranking in a field of eight MAC programs.
Last year's 100-ard freestyle champion and a first-team performer, senior Stephanie Buckner, highlights the Falcons' group of returnees. BGSU will also welcome back All-MAC second-teamers Kara Ohngren, Caroline Keating and Dana Schultz. Freshman Alisha Yee and Schultz currently lead the Falcons with five individual first place finishes.
Nabbng the top honor is current champion Miami University who returns five All-MAC performers. Behind the RedHawks are Eastern Michigan and Ohio University.
After the Falcons, the Rockets of Toledo fall into fifth place and the Cardinals of Ball State are expected to finish sixth. Rounding out the MAC, Akron and the University at Buffalo are slated for seventh and eight.
