Falcons Place Sixth At All-Ohio Championships

ATHENS, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University track and field team finished sixth at the All-Ohio Championships in Athens, Ohio with 71 points. Akron won the meet with 164.50 points. Other MAC finishers included Miami (5th, 83.5), Toledo (8th, 48) and Ohio (9th, 31).
Leading the way was senior Kerri McClung. She placed first in the shot put with a mark of 48-10.75, continuing her run of first-place finishes in the shot put this season.
In the distance events, Melissa Krueger finished fourth in the one-mile run with a season-best time of 4:59.97, while freshman Jamie Roflow placed second in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:59.08.
In the jumps Veronica Vance finished seventh in the long jump (17-10.75) and fourth in the tripple jump (38-01.50).
The sprint events saw sophomore Jessica White placed fourth in the 60-meters (7.65) and fifth in the 2090-meters (24.90).
Up next for the Falcons are the MAC Championships on Feb 25-26.
