SEATTLE, Wash. - The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team held its first practice on the Bank of America Arena court Friday afternoon, as the Falcons prepare for the opening round of the NCAA Championships. BGSU, the #13 seed in the Kansas City Regional, will face #4 seed Kansas State University on Saturday evening (March 19) at 5:00 p.m. local time (8:00 p.m. Eastern).
The Falcons arrived in Seattle Thursday, and practiced on a practice court at the arena, but Friday afternoon was the first time BG practiced on the main floor of Bank of America Arena, on the University of Washington campus.
BGSU players and coaches did some sightseeing in downtown Seattle Friday morning, then headed to the arena for the afternoon events. Head coach Curt Miller and several players greeted the media contingent for the pre-practice media conference, then BG took the floor for a 45-minute practice that was open to the public.
ESPN's Dave Revsine, Mary Murphy and Rob Stone were in attendance at the practice as well, and chatted with Miller and a few BG players at the conclusion of practice.
Saturday's game, which has an official tip-off time of 5:07 p.m. Pacific, will be aired on ESPN2.
