Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University's baseball game vs. Oakland University, scheduled for today at Warren Steller Field, has been cancelled due to inclement weather. No makeup game has been scheduled as of yet.
The Falcons kick off the Mid-American Conference portion of its schedule this weekend in a three-game series at Ball State (March 25-27). Friday's game is scheduled for 3 p.m. while Saturday's and Sunday's games are slated for 1 p.m.
•BGSU is off to its best start since 1996 with its 12-3 record.
• The Falcons lead the Mid-American Conference with a .320 team batting average. BGSU is third in the league with its 4.52 team earned-run-average.
• SO Josh Dietz' first career home run came via a grand slam in the fourth inning yesterday at Xavier. He added a two-run blast in the eighth inning.
•JR Nolan Reimold had his second multi-home run game in less than a week. Last Wednesday, March 16, the outfielder had three home runs vs. Findlay while on Tuesday he had two homers at Xavier.
•JR Nolan Reimold leads BGSU with seven home runs and 23 RBIs in just 15 games. Of his 22 hits this year, 13 are for extra bases for an incredible .945 slugging pct.
• BGSU has double-digit run totals in six games and double-digit hit totals in 10 games already this season.
