CLEVELAND, Ohio - For the second time in as many years, the Bowling Green State University women's basketball team has had three players named to the All-Mid-American Conference Team. Sophomores Liz Honegger, Ali Mann and Carin Horne have been named to the all-conference team, the league office announced Monday morning (March 7). Honegger and Mann picked up second-team honors, while Horne earned honorable mention.
Additionally, Kate Achter was selected to the MAC's All-Freshman Team. The All-MAC and All-Freshman teams are the results of voting by the league's 13 head coaches.
Mann earns all-league honors for the second-straight year, being named to the second team this season after earning honorable mention as a freshman. Honegger, Horne and Achter all garner all-league accolades for the first time in their respective BGSU careers.

The 2004-05 season, as mentioned, marks the second-straight year that BGSU has had three players selected to the all-league team. Prior to last year, BG had not had more than one all-conference pick since 1997-98.
Achter is the ninth player in school history, and the second in as many years, to be named to the MAC's All-Freshman Team. Mann earned that honor a year ago.
The Falcons are 20-7 overall, and BGSU won the MAC regular-season championship with a league record of 13-3. BG, the number-one seed for the Kraft MAC Tournament, will meet eighth-seeded Miami in Wednesday (March 9) action at Gund Arena in downtown Cleveland. The quarterfinal game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
