Quotes from the BSU game...
"I would say most of it is having great teammates that realize when I'm open. We just wanted to come out and make up for what happened on Saturday. That was nothing but the players fault, it was a disgrace. Coach Dakich is the best coach in America and we made the coaching staff look bad, we made the town look bad and we wanted to come out and make up for it."
"What a great performance in the first half by the good guys but an even guttier performance by Ball State in the second half without Stovall, without Trammell. They just battle so hard and we were incredibly lucky. You could tell from the first possession in the second half that this wasnt going to be the same half."
"Tim Buckley came into my office this afternoon and said do you know what the MAC has become? He said you get a big lead and hold on for dear life. He was prophetic, him and my son. My son at the kitchen table said Reimold was going to get his career high tonight..."
"What a great win for us, we just keep going along. It didnt look good in the second half but Almanson and Reimold just did their deal."
on the play of Mills and Chapman... "He was tough, he and Chapman. Chapman only had 12 points but it seemed like he had 20 to tell you the truth."
on John Reimold...
"I just felt so bad for him on Sunday because it was such a miserable day. I had them all out to my house that night and sat down with Josh and him and just basically told them you've got a second chance now. You dont get very many second chances but you got one. For John and Josh well just consider this their official last home game of their careers. But John has been playing really bad and nobody knows that better than John and nobody feels worse about it than John and nobody is going to try harder to get out of it than John. He had a real determination, a real determination. He is playing every minute of every game and on one days rest, he was just phenomenal."
on the upcoming game with Miami... "You have to play very disciplined, you have to play very well to beat Miami. If you don't, they grind you down and just beat you. They play such good defense, they have a methodical but efficient offense and if you're not disciplined they hit the right guy at the right time and you're frustrated. There is no program that I have more respect for than Miami and Ball State but with Miami, you have to be disciplined, you have to be tough."
on Floyd's injury... "Floyd is the toughest guy in America. He has a high-ankle sprain which is 10 days to two weeks..."
"And what a great trainer we have in Chad Young. What a great, great job those two did. I didnt anticipate playing John Floyd tonight."
