Bowling Green vs. Kent State Series Cancelled
April 23, 2005 | Baseball
The remaining baseball series between Bowling Green and Kent State, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at Warren Steller Field, has been cancelled due to current and scheduled inclement weather, as well as poor field conditions.
The two teams were scheduled to continue a suspended game from Friday, in which KSU led 1-0 in the top of the second inning, and then play another full nine-inning contest. The game will not count as an official contest and BGSU will remain 23-11 overall and 7-5 in the MAC West. KSU will remain 22-14 overall and 4-6 in the MAC East.
BGSU's next game, and coach Danny Schmitz' next opportunity at career victory No. 400, will come Wednesday, April 27, when Xavier visits Warren Steller Field. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
