Falcon Volleyball Begins Practices

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green State University volleyball head coach Denise Van De Walle will welcome back nine players from the 2004 squad, as well as four newcomers, as they will be participating in their first practice of the 2005 season this afternoon. The Falcons will begin their 23rd season under the leadership of Van De Walle.
The returning class includes two seniors in Emily Manser and Ashlei Nofzinger, as well as third year returner Chrissy Gothke and redshirt sophomore Corrie Mills. The Falcons also return five sophomores in Kendra Halm, Maggie Karges, Madeline Means, Elizabeth Simon and Stephanie Swiger.
The newcomers include four freshmen: Annie Griffin (Lenexa, Kan.), Kaitlin Jackson (Toronto, Ont.) Chelsey Meek (Bowling Green, Ohio) and Meghan Mohr (Elida, Ohio).
BGSU opens the season on September 2 at the UIC Invitational where they will square off with Denver, Illinois-Chicago, College of Charleston and James Madison, before returning home on Sept. 7 as they host the University of Dayton.
